:-o Never tried! I am so looking up a recipe now.

I can give you mine. If you want it? It does use a meat replacement that is processed. Message me if you want it. :)

YES!!! With a side of Kraft Mac N Cheese, and maybe a little spoonful of the Mac N Cheese on the sloppy joe.

Meh, they are okay. Honestly every time I've had them I've thought I wish I had some pasta instead of a bun.

    Oh yes!
For those who don't eat beef- try Sloppy Lentils, same savory/sweet flavor and great texture. I actually prefer the lentils to ground beef. Yum!

I hate them for this reason - it's a texture thing. I think I'd like it as meat sauce over pasta, but the soggy bun and unappetizing pile of ground beef really turns me off.

Yes. But mine are called Neatly Joes. Because I can't stand sloppy anything.

Hate them. Cheap bun, cheap meat, goopy sauce. Ugh. Horrible.

You must be making them wrong! ;)

Not since I was a kid...between the school cafeteria and my mom, I burnt out on them at a pretty young age. I don't think I've had one since I was about 10.

UMMMMM----we had these in highschool, once a week at the cafeteria. They were served with dill pickles. I haven't had them in so long. Sigh.

Yes -- but only if it's vegetarian. I make mine with lentils inside of ground meat!

I've never had homemade SJ, but I'm not a big fan of Manwich. Hated it as a kid. It's tolerable now.

Mrs Jruzer makes them occasionally. They're pretty good - the kids like them. She wouldn't make them for just the 2 of us though - boring.

Fun fact: Here in Wisconsin they call sloppy Joes "Barbecue". I was seriously confused the first time I ordered a "barbecue sandwich", expecting pulled pork, and instead receiving a sad sloppy Joe.
