I always wake up starving?

I am always hungry - every two hours. I'm sedentary but I exercise lightly a few times a week.
Sometimes I would wake up at 4 to 7 am and can't go back to sleep until I eat something.
I feel like I eat enough during the day, get enough protein, but why am I always starving?

I found that instead of eating small meals that i just ate a ton in 3 sittings, it has mainly stopped my cravings. I also eat 1g of protein per lb of weight, aim for 30g of fiber and have played around with fats and carbs. For me, carbs (especially starches), help keep me full.
How many calories? protein? and fiber are you eating?
Eta, i still wake up hungry and i am up at 5am.0 -
If I don't eat a snack before bed I wake up very hungry and my blood sugar drops. Maybe try a pre bed snack.1

How much weight are you losing? What ate your stats? How many grams of protein and fiber.0

Well 1200 might be a bit light for calories for someone young and tall. Do you exercise or are you active? Also, 60g of protein is not a lot. I would personally put you at 120g of protein. You can also increase fiber another 10g and incorporate more volume foods; egg whites, greek yogurt, low sugar fruit, low sugar veggies. You can also try increasing fats and decreasing carbs to see if that has an effect.1

If you are 5'9" and 110 pounds, you are underweight. You are hungry because you are not eating enough.4

Did I read that right? You're 5'9" and 110lb? You're 50kg? I'm 5'10" and I would be a skeleton at 60kg let alone 50. Why are you restricting calories at all? I'm really worried for you. If you're hungry, eat.3

I missed 110 lbs. I thought you said 170. Yea that is really underweight. And most women I know are maintaining at 1800 to 2600 calories. Youare starving because you arent feeding your body.2

No, someone your age, and 5'9" - lightly active would still be losing weight at 1700 cals, if you had any to lose.2

Highly doubt it. Why not increase your calories by 100 calorie per week until you hit that number. You might add a lb or two but that is due to increases in glycogen and food waste.1 -
You ARE still growing. Your body needs more fuel for just that, than someone even just a few years older.0

5'3", 150 and I maintain on approx. 1900 a day, workday is mostly sitting, 2-3hr commute and working out 4-5 times a week - for a baseline

while I know TDEE is calculators are debated for accuracy on this forum - this is what I got with your stats and being lightly active - a TDEE of approx. 1800 cal a day - which means you could eat that much and maintain your current weight assuming you keep the same/similar level of activity

You are starving in the mornings because your body is literally starving. You are significantly underweight. A person who is 5'9" should weigh a minimum of 125 to be in the "normal" range by BMI. Please seek help. It is highly unhealthy for you to be maintaining such a low weight.0

Like everyone else said, you are starving your body and it is screaming out for you to feed it!!
I'm 5"8 and the absolute lowest i'll go is 143lbs, anything under that and i start to look emaciated and not well at all...0
