Measurements with tape measure.

Apologies for possible silly question but where do you measure when taking body measurements?
Is it the top of your thigh, the fattest bit of your thigh?
Your waist and hips or just by your belly button.
Do people measure arm circumference and should the tape measure be tight or not?
Thank you.

Waist is at the smallest part of the torso and hips at the widest part, this is how I do mine anyway! Dont breath in, and make sure tape measure isnt tight but comfortably snug so its not digging into u....... but agree with previous answer, as long as u measure same part every time it wont matter1

I've always had this same question about the hips. Depending on where I measure can change the result by an inch or two. So according to this you go off of the hip bones? Would that be about midway down my butt? How would saddlebags be included in those measurements?3
