Learning to do for me!

I debated on doing a payfor site for weight loss, but decided that if I couldn't do it by myself, how would I ever be able to do it without that site. Besides, I like to keep my money for other things...so I took the advice I found on another website and decided to join up here. My daughter and I are both working on being healthy and fit.
I find that I tend to put my own physical fitness as the last thing on my mind. Not because I don't want to work out, because I actually love the feeling I get from moving my body, but because I feel like my work or family or friends needs come first. I'm working very hard to overcome this and realize that an hour in the morning to walk (my preference) or go lift weights ( not so bad if you have good music going) isn't going to stop the world from turning and create some kind of major disaster. It wouldn't hurt to have a bit of support for when I'm feeling off as well.
I'd like to make this a permanent place that I keep up with and maintain.

Welcome!!
Just think of it like this.... Taking care of yourself first thing in the morning will put you in a better spot mentally, physically, and emotionally to help take care of others later. :-)
Good luck on your journey... We are here for you the whole way!0 -
hello...I'm audra, and I had my first baby 2 years ago and didn't believe people when they said that baby weight was hard to get off. Before having my son, I had lost 35lbs, and thought it was fairly easy...or course, I had more time to work out and didn't have snack foods all over the house since it was just me and my husband. Now I have the "baby weight" along with very little time to exercise. I try to slip in a few arm weights and squats and then walk during my lunch break at work...
Hopefully this site will help us!! Good luck and keep up the good work!!0 -
Changing your mind is the hardest part!! Once you feel it in your heart that you are worth that hour...You're good! Good luck!0

Thanks all! It's nice to be welcomed by so many. This really is a supportive place!
I'm up early to take my walk before it's 103 outside today. Hope all are doing well! :happy:0
