Going over nutrient percentages and more

Hello!
I started using MyFitnessPal a little over two weeks ago and the one thing I am having most trouble with is the nutrients and going over the percentage given such as for sugar, protein and more. Does that really effect my weight loss/progress? Typically I eat the same thing everyday and I would say it is pretty healthy.
Breakfast: Oatmeal and blueberries
Snack: 0% Fat Plain Greek Yogurt
Lunch: Brown rice, broccoli, and tofu
Snack: Apple with peanut butter/almonds/orange
Post workout: Low fat chocolate milk
Dinner: Eggs with veggies
Any tips on what I should do? Whether it is changing the percentage or changing what I am eating?
I also wanted to know... if I go to the gym and it adds more calories I can have for the day... it is bad to go over the original 1,500 calories?
Thank you!

No, it really doesn't affect your weight loss/progress. In the end, your energy deficit (taking in fewer calories than you use) is what matters. Nutrients can affect various aspects of health, including muscle retention during weight loss, blood sugar levels, digestive regularity, etc.
I'm not a big fan of eating the same thing every day, because I think eating a variety of foods is generally more likely to result in getting the variety of nutrients you need, but at least you're getting some variety in your same-every-day menu.
You can ignore the fact that you're not hitting your percentages, or you can change your percentages to reflect what you actually eat, or you can change what you eat to meet your percentages. It doesn't really matter, assuming you're getting enough protein and fat (in grams, not in percentages).
If you go to the gym and it adds more calories, eat at least some of them. Most people aim for 50% to 75%, at least until they get enough data to see what works for them. It is good to go over the original 1500 calories to fuel your workouts.0 -
Yes! I'm struggling with the same thing! I've only logged a couple of days, but I feel like I go over my carbs rather easily. Still tweaking my diet though, so we'll see what happens!0
