Need help!!! I've been trying to lose 100 pounds forever. I keep messing around with a ton of different plans and plexus/advocare/ or weight watchers. Low carb/no carb. I did the best when I just tracked everything on mfp but then I stopped doing that. Ugh. I excercise quite a bit. Food is my problem. Friends/accountability /ideas?!?! Help please !

Okay so this is what I'd do:
1) fix sleep quality
2) reduce stress
3) slowly replace processed food with whole foods
4) increase your overall activity. Walking, moving around more.
5) add resistance training
6) Hydrate hydrate hydrate
The underlying habits that added 100lbs would need to be addressed while making the above changes though. Otherwise you'll slip back into old patterns.
Recognise when an old pattern that had you overeating pops up, and replace it with a healthier habit. Slowly over time, till be 100lbs less.
Hope that helps.
Add me if you need any more help.1 -
Eat your MFP calorie goal. Log everything. Easy peasy. You might want to buy a food scale for accuracy. Getting in some activity you enjoy will allow you to eat a few more calories. The only hard part is having patience as those pounds slowly slip away.2

Just don't make it harder than it needs to be. Put your stats into MFP, see your calorie goal, and meet it. You don't need any special supplements or plans. Someone's already mentioned a food scale. It's important for accuracy. You may have to play around with your calorie goals along the way, but you can do this!1

^^^This, right there. All the tools you need are here on MFP and it sounds like you already know that or you wouldn't have included that statement. You just need to commit to it and stop looking for easier solutions. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but I've done all of that, too (weight watchers, zone diet, low carb). Tracking food on this site and adding as much exercise as I could really was the answer for me. You can do this and you know it!1 -
Why did you stop logging? Why is food the problem? It doesn't matter what plan you follow, if you don't stick to it. You need to figure out why you keep stopping, and you need to find a way to eat for the rest of your life that you enjoy and that keeps you satiated at the right calorie level.
Not sure if this is an issue for you, but you also need to keep in mind the long view - one bad day or even bad week is not a reason to quit. People who successfully lose a lot of weight weren't perfect, they just didn't let setbacks permanently knock them off track.
Pre-planning and prepping meals and snacks can really help. I also personally find it's easier to focus on adding something in (like more veggies, or batch prepping on Sunday afternoon) than on cutting stuff out.
You have to want to lose the weight more than you want whatever is holding you back. You can do it (in fact, only you can do it)! Hang in there and good luck :drinker:1
