Do I have to adjust caloric intake as I lose weight?

I'm just wondering why I am not losing weight anymore. I've held at 172 lbs for three weeks. I've lost a total of 8lbs over five months. Has my calorie goal changed as a result, and if so, why doesn't the app calculate for you?

You have to tell it your new weight, and it will recalculate. As to why it doesn't automatically do so, that is a question for the programmers.

It's done it for me once or twice, I don't know why. Possibly because I went into "goals" and it prompted it to recalculate? Who knows.

It's an annoying bug. It's only been around for years so maybe they'll fix it one day......or not. As Catt says, even if you're recording lower weights it only actually updates your calorie allowance if you change your goal. So every time you log a new weight go into goals, change your target weight loss per week to something else then change it back again. It will recalculate. On the website this setting is under Settings - Update Diet/Fitness Profile, on the app it's under Goals - Weekly Goal.

I'm not sure it should be called a bug. When you set your goal you are asking it to tell you how many calories to eat to lose that amount. Once you have your calorie goal set, you may not want that to change every time your weight changes. Some people think you should slow your weight loss as you near your goal weight anyway. If you don't change your target calories it is going to naturally do that.

I tend to recalc my goal every 10lb or so, but I have a long way to get to goal so dont need to worry about slowing down my rate of lose yet.

    That's a fair point actually
