Its right along the road where I drive on the way back home from work, so I'll have no excuse not to go daily. On top of that, its only 19.99 a month. I'm not looking for much, treadmills, and stationary bikes. That's all. Plus they offer classes too!

Going to stop in and check it out. I'm excited!

I know! Every other gym in the area charges about 80$ a month. They have free weights, classes (spinning, step, aerobics, cardio and more), juice bar, free wifi, free daycare, etc. Only downside is a 1 year agreement, but since I'm not going anywhere that's not a huge deal. PLUS they're the only gym in the area that seems to stay open past 7pm, lol.

That is great!! Enjoy! I use the YMCA because it is a cheaper family membership.
  • They probably offer some kind of trial week, right? If you like it, join it! I (heart) my gym!!!

Yes they do! They actually want me to come in monday for a 'tour' (ie: them trying to sell me) but honestly at that price I'm pretty well sold already, lol.

That's awesome!! There's only one gym within 30 miles of me, and that's a university rec center that's open to community memberships. It's only $20/month, too ($125 if you join for the year), and 15 miles away. Weight machines, free weighs, treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, track, pool - no juice bar or daycare, though  I just joined a week ago, and love it already. You will, too. Congrats & Good luck!

Wish the Y was closer here, I live in a small town and the closest one is about 20 miles. But GREAT place!

I love it there! Totally not a *gym* atmosphere, more family friendly. And we get a half off discount on the activities like swimming lessons, spring soccer, etc. (which adds up fast w/ 3 kids!) It's about a 10 mile drive for me, but well worth it!

I strongly reccomend Planet Fitness to anyone looking for a gym. they have memberships starting at $9.99 / month. Obviously you'll have to see if there is one located near you. I have been going there for about a year now and i have no complaints. The only negative thing that I could say is they don't have a huge free weight section.

  • Wow $20 a month is a great deal. I think I pay $30 for mine. I hope it works out for you.
