Hi all,everything was going well. I had started the 30 day shred and was walking 2 miles a day. Lost 3 lbs. pants started fitting better. Then boom, my son got the flu, sleepless nights and then I got the flu. Its been 7 day of no work out. When will I ever regain my energy? Has anyone ever had this situation? Please share your experiences. Thanks

    I've been done for 3 days now with a flu. Like you I just started 30 day shred and was doing 11k steps a day. I've had before and it took about 2 weeks. Get lots of water and rest - it will come back eventually

    I got the flu a week and a half ago, but was incredibly fatigued before it, so it was 2+ weeks with no working out. More like 2.5 weeks. It is possible you might notice a slight difference in ability once getting back to it, but the key is following through. I had my worst run ever after getting back to it this past Saturday, but didn't let it stop me and it's getting easier. Just allow the time to rest. If you go back too soon, you risk getting sick again or injury due to fatigued muscles.

    Ugh. The flu. It can take weeks to get back to full speed, but YES - you will regain your energy. This is just a bump in the road. Hope you feel better soon. <3

    That's what happens with the flu. It can take 2-4 weeks until you feel 100%. In the meantime you can start walking again & do some lighter workouts. (When you start feeling better) Get well soon!

    Yes. I was completely out of action with regards to the gym last week. Not sure if it was the flu, or exactly what, but I was weak and tired and coughing a lot.

    I'm only about 90% now, I'd say. Squats and deadlifts sucked this week. I'm hoping it's just because of my still recovering.
