Small goals! Don't over whelm yourself with a new diet or a crazy workout schedule. For example, try eating from home for a week rather than going out. Think of it like you're saving money! Or try to go for a walk in the evenings. That's my goal right now.. my dog needs a walk everyday and so do I lol

Don't diet. Eat right, sleep right, stay hydrated and exercise.

I think the best advice for you may come if you describe what your specific fitness goals are. If you just want to lose weight, then the advice from the previous poster would work. If you want to lose weight and gain strength or increase cardio vascular health, the advice might be somewhat different.

Omni diet? Well, there's a new one.

Put your stats into MFP, get a food scale, weigh your food, and meet your calorie goal. It's all you need and it's free to use!

I would actually start just by logging everything you eat on myfitnesspal for a couple of weeks. Then you can look back and start figuring out where you are eating extra calories and where you can make changes. Don't go on a "diet" - figure out a way to eat a bit less and move a bit more that works for you.

Weight loss is simple, but not necessarily easy. It takes a lot of time and commitment. Silly restrictive diets are hard to follow for long. Don't go on silly restrictive diets. The Omni diet is a silly restrictive diet. Just log your food and aim to hit the calorie goal MFP gave you. If you do that (correctly), you lose weight.

@ LeoT0917 everything you said is true. I want all of those things. I have been feeling like s*@t lately. I know it's because of the weight gain. It all happened pretty quickly after having to have a full hysterectomy. This is what lead me to this app.
