Looking for advice

I've been successful at Weight Watchers but don't want to attend meetings. I've tried MFP before but have not been successful.

Any advice on reaching goals with MFP?

Can I ask what didn't work last time? I have never done weight watchers, but from what my coworkers talk about it is basically the same thing just simplified into points.

In the end you still weigh everything and document everything.

What else do you need help with?

Thanks. You saud it perfectly. I just need to be committed to it and "if I bite it, I have to write it"...have to document accurately.

My small advice is a digital food scale to weigh everything. Measuring cups aren't as accurate.

Once you get your usual foods in it is super easy to just re-select the same stuff.

Set lots of goals no matter how small or silly they seem. (I started with weighing all my food for a day).

Finally be ready for the long haul this is a slow and steady wins the race kind of thing.

You have to be persistent, log everything, keep with it and be patient. Without those you will not succeed. It's a lifestyle change. I hated going to groups so alway gave up. I've been on here for over three years, but I'm not planning on stopping st anytime because I'm still finding things that I like to eat that don't pile on the weight and fit in my calories allowance. It's not a quick fix and then you go back to how you ate again, it don't work like that. Good luck I hope you are successful this time.

I think success starts with recognizing that anything that results in a calorie deficit will work. The keys are to understand that this is not a "diet" but a lifestyle change and that the strategies you choose to achieve that deficit need to be ones you can stick with forever. If you do this, you will succeed regardless of whether you choose WW, MFP. or someting else.
