I notice a huge difference in my overall mental attitude when I push for a healthier lifestyle. Doing small things on a regular basis even if it is only for 5-10 mins just to generate some sort of pattern really helps me... like stretching 5 minutes every morning is something I can commit to everyday and it really gets me in touch with my mental state which inherently gives me alot of control with cravings and stuff.

    Good for you! Clearly the link between our physical well being and our mental health is strong. I feel much better too...just better in feeling like I am moving the right direction and am in control of what I am consuming.

    Me too! And it's amazing how little I have to do to feel a pretty significant, positive shift in my mood and the quality of sleep.

    That's good to hear!

    It's had the opposite effect on me... ever since I started restricting calories mine has gone down the drain. Maybe I'll try exercising properly and see if that helps.

    I have found a huge positive difference as well. I think it's a combo of exercise and feeding body with more vitamin rich foods and less processed crap..for me anyway.

    noble the exercise as small as it is helps huge for me...hope it will for you too.

    I couldn't agree more with this. I've been on anti depressants for about 9 months and although they have kept me on an "even keel" I've not had many days of feeling good and motivated. Since I have started tracking my food, making healthier choices and sticking to an exercise regime I feel sooo much better. It's amazing.
