How do you search for friends?

I haven't used this app in a long time and can't figure out how to search for friends. You use to be able to search friends by name, age and location, similar goals, etc. can't do that anymore?

    Hi kristyar you go to my profile, press on friends then press the plus button on the top right hand side then it will give you options for adding friends.

    Thanks. When I go to friends it only allows me to search for friends by phone contacts, Facebook or invite friends by email. Is there not an option to search for friends in your area or by username, gender, weightloss goals, etc?
