For me, it was from the mid 80's to the mid 90's. All the R&B and Hip Hop was so cool along with the clothing. Clubbing back then for me was so much more about dancing and not drinking.
I kick back every once in awhile to watch youtube videos of many of the artists I liked so much (and met because I dated a radio DJ back in the day) and still laugh at some of the crazy clothes I used to wear.

Late 70's when the Rolling Stones were in full stride ( some girls), Led Zeppelin was at their peak and Steely Dan released AJA.

Also, the 80s ..... a lot of fun, great stuff was happening then.

I listen to stuff from the 90's up to today. I have a nostalgic feel for 80's music too, reminds me of being a kid. Abba is my guilty pleasure after the movie Momma Mia came out.

Late 60's through mid 80's. Factor out the Disco.

I'm Blues and Rock & Roll. I installed a great system on my Motorcycle and when I ride down the road everyone gets to hear what I like. Some people roll up their windows. Some people start rocking out.

90's, pretty much the "golden years" of hip hop. The early 2000's were also pretty good.

I like a huge variety. Different songs speak to me in different ways during different times in my life.

I feel the same way about a lot of songs. When I hear them I am transported to a place or a time.

90s alternative. Think 120 Minutes on MTV.

My DW and I spent about an hour last night watching and dancing to some of her favorites by Boyz II Men, 98 Degrees, Backstreet Boys and Jodeci. We had a blast in the clubs back in those days. Was cool to dance with her to those songs again.

It's funny though, when I'm in the gym I have the station (DirecTV music) turned to Hair Bands and Classic Rock Workout. I really can't listen to the over head speakers playing anything else with maybe the exception of Hip Hop, but even then the beat can get repetitive.
