Am I supposed to follow the calorie intake that MFP allocates or the calorie intake according to my BMR? MFP has allocated me 1300calories but my BMR says 1335. An MFP friend was kind enough to point this out but now I'm confused as to which I am supposed to follow.

35 calories is not a big deal, don't sweat it.0

The BMR is what you burn when you do nothing but rest for 24hrs. Follow what MFP says.0

35 calories.. lol lets take about 500 calories now that is a big deal.0

The way I look at it, there's no magic number -- both are just estimates based on what a person like you probably burns in a day. And they're only 35 calories apart! Do whatever works for you. If you can hit 1300 each day, might as well go for the lower number. If that extra 35 calories makes the goal feel more attainable -- use that.
One pound of body fat = 3,500 calories. So over the course of 100 days, you'd lose one pound less if you ate the extra 35 calories.0
