M&M peanuts have 13 grams fat 30 grams carbs and 5 grams of protein what is the kcal of energy and what is the percent of kcals are due to fat??
Can someone please help me figure this out and show me how you got the answer I don't understand how to figure this stuff out !

fat =9 calories per gram
protein = 4 calories per gram
carbohydrate =4 calories per gram
So your M&M have 117 calories from fat, 120 calories from carbs and 20 calories from protein and 257 calories total.
117/257=45.5. so they are basically 46% fat.0 -
each gram of fat has 9 calories, each carb and protein has 4 calories so
13 gs fat = 117 cals from fat or 46%
30gs carbs = 120 cals from carbs or 47%
5gs protein = 20 cals from protein or 8%
257 cals0 -
