Hi! I am new to mfp and I have a question. I started the 30 Day Shred today. How do I enter it so I can record how many calories I burned?
Thanks!
Amy

20 minutes of circuit training is what I do!

Some people have Heart Rate Monitors so they plug in their info that way.

I was told to record it as Circuit Training, General which burns about 185-190 cals per workout, but you may be burning more or less depending on your body so use an HRM for the most accurate burn.
  • I use that workout too, and I usually record it under cardiovascular as circuit training for 25 minutes
  • Thanks everyone!

i record it as high impact aerobics... personally i think its a little more than circuit training.. ?
  • I am 110 pounds and I record it as a circuit training for 150 calorie burn.

I created my own exercise in MFP called 30 Day Shred and log the calories burned from my heart rate monitor. I have just done Level 1 Day 6....I put a lot into it but my calorie burn was just 206 versis around 250 when I did it on Day 1. I think the reason is two fold....1) I am getting fitter already (I can tell during the workout) and 2) I burn at different rates at different times of the day. I'd definitely recommend getting a heart rate monitor.
