I've lost about 200 pounds since beginning my weight loss journey and I will definitely need an abdominoplasty, for both excess skin and muscle issues. For those of you that had this procedure after dramatic weight loss, were there any requirements you had to meet beforehand, such as staying at your goal weight for X amount of time, etc? I know it'll differ by state/doctor but I'm just floating this idea around in my head.

Thank you. Basically diet and exercise. More like a lifestyle change than a diet really. I track literally everything I eat, weigh and measure everything, eat lower calorie versions of things, lots of veggies and proteins, cheat meal anywhere from every week to every couple months to keep me sane and my metabolism revving, and LOTS of water. Right now I'm doing a gallon a day. My diary is open if anyone wants to add me to get an idea of what I eat. :)

Many surgeons have a q & a fact sheet for the proceedures they perform on their websites.

Alternatively, a consult is often the best way to get info specific to your needs.

    Congratulations on your epic weightless.
