Am I just being a big baby?

So I had a goal to start 21 day fix on Sunday . Got up, took pics, measurements, the whole bit. Then promptly came down with the stomach flu and have yet to keep anything in me longer than 10 minutes (sorry TMI).
I've been keeping well hydrated and decided to rest up and get healthier. Woke up feeling better today and thought maybe I could start again today ! I got through 15 min of the first video before having to stop. I couldn't even follow the modifier. I see people in here all the time who work out while sick so even though my brain is saying "hey you haven't eaten for 48 hours so ya you aren't gonna have energy" my rotten negative voice is telling me I'm just wimping out and can't do this.
How do you cope with being sick and wanting to exercise (or the limitations being sick creates for your exercise)?

Ummm - yeah, sick, haven't eaten - I am pretty amazed you made it 15 minutes. Focus on getting better. Otherwise you're just going to extend your illness.

You've been sick before, right? You know it can take awhile to fully recover from even a seemingly simple bug, right? That has not changed because you're losing weight and working out.

Many runners start up again when they're at the tail end of a head cold. The stomach flu is a completely different animal. I came down with the stomach flu shortly after the New Year and it took me two weeks to get over it.

Rest, stay hydrated, eat if you can stomach it, and don't rush it.

Some sicknesses are just annoyances. (allergies or a head cold, for instance). Others sap you of your life force. It's not a weakness in you. It's just how they work. You're starved and depleted. Make a plan (a REAL plan, like make a calendar entry on you phone with a push notification) to try again in a few days.

I agree with the others. I will sometimes workout when I am sick but it depends on how sick and I will modify my workout accordingly. If I am feeling the way you have described, I am getting rest and trying to get well.

I do nothing when I'm sick, my body deserves its time to heal

On the up-side, in my experience a stomach flu is great for short-term weight loss.

No- you're really not being a big baby. Rest for now and try again when you feel better.

just been off any exercise for a week, yes it was horrible, yes I was annoying my housemate by whinging about it alot. But like you I had no energy being put in, so really couldn't get myself to work out.
I used it as practice to stick to calories purely with diet. Extra learning about portions and measuring as normally I have a safety net with exercise.

as other's have said, rest, drink lots, bits dry toast etc maybe a day or so after you have had 3 meals in a day, start up some light workouts. Don't throw your body into more hell.
Don't rush. hope you feel better!

Thanks for the encouragement everybody . And ya @ccsernica it's amazing how a stomach flu can flush those lbs of water rentation right out! I went down almost 4 lbs! Lol.

It's so pathetic bit I'm actually site from my first 15 min of 21 day fix. This is either a horrible or awesome sign!
