I just ate lots of nuts and chocolate.
I'm talking 60 pistachios, 30 cashews and like 5 walnuts, oh and almond chocolate.
I find that I am more hungry during my period and I crave sweets more.
If I eat a few hundred more calories during this time, will I gain weight? I'm new to tracking so I'm not sure.

Let's say your period lasts 7 days, and you eat 400 calories extra all 7 days. That's probably a bit of an overestimate. But that's 2800 calories extra, which is 0.8 lbs every month.

But, I think your metabolism is a bit higher during that time - it seemed to be the case for me anyways, when I did some experimentation with very accurately tracking my food intake and weight, etc for a few months. I also seem to be warmer by nearly 2 degrees. I don't know if this is normal.

In any case, I think most of the time those food cravings are just during the first couple of days, and if you're taking in a bit extra there, and under a bit some other days during the month, I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe go for a long walk or something.
