Hi Fellow MFP ers,
I have lost 35 pounds so far and definitely put on more lean mass. I have been stuck around 150s far last several months. Still have 20 pounds to go. I am planning to start carb cycling. I do work out regularly and login on MFP as well. Looking at the pictures I know I have come a long way. But I am losing patience now

Yes you have. Did you take measurements? That always helps when the scale isn't moving.2
-
You look amazing!! Measurements tell the true story when the scale seems like it's broken2

I can empathize with the plateau. I have been stuck twice in the last two months (currently stuck at 225-226ish)....just stick with it. Make some changes here and there to see what does and doesn't work, but keep monitoring. Know this...the work you have done so far is amazing. Congratulations and keep it up!2

You look wonderful! You could stop and start maintaining and just be perfect!
And I am right there with you! I've been stuck on the same weight +/- 5 pounds since October! It is so frustrating! Family/Friend/food functions all the time just has me maintaining and not losing. BUT we're maintaining so that's still really good!1 -
Beautiful beautiful beautiful! You already accomplished so much, just keep going strong!
Are you keeping an eye on your macros? Sometimes tracking and adjusting the macros helps... Continued success to you!1 -
Great work! I'd say switch something up--workouts, diet, whatever. More than a month is rough for a plateau. Make sure you've been eating enough to keep your metabolism up and log accurately, and you'll get past it! In the meantime, you look great!2

I think you look great! Is there a particular item of clothing that you want to be able to wear, but won't/can't until you've reached your goal? I want a pair of black leather jeans. But I'm not putting the money into them until I'm where I want to be size-wise. So I have pictures of me when I started this weight-loss journey and pictures of my goal item - the black leather jeans. It's kind of like waving the proverbial red flag in front of a bull. That's my motivation, even when I'm staring at a box of Thin Mints. I don't know if this is helpful to you, but it's how I push myself. Good luck!3

You look like you've lost more than 35 lbs, so great job! The last 20 lbs is tough because you have less margin of error in logging. Reset your stats in MFP and set your goal at .5 lb per week since you have only 20 lb left. Be sure to weigh everything, then log it of course. Let your impatience work FOR you by helping you to be super focused and diligent in the months ahead.
You look gorgeous in that dress!5 -
For me, not gaining weigh back is a big accomplishment. I want to train myself to think "yay, I weigh the same!"5
-
Thank you so much all of you for your kind and encouraging words. I appreciate all your suggestions. And yes, I am going to stay motivated, weigh everything and keep logging everything. Thank you all.4

I also realized I am on a 365 day streak of logging into MFP. And I am so thankful for this app and the support here.8

you look amazing!
It does suck to plateau. I was stuck at the same weight from Oct-Jan.... it was hard. Just stick with it. and if you don't already take measurements. For me those often show progress when the scale is being stubborn1 -
I have lost 29 lbs since August and also stuck and I would like to lose another 5-10 atleast. Might have to change up my diet/exercise routine.3
-
You look amazing! Your progress shows how much you can do! You can definitely do more if you want! Don't give up! Take a break and try again!1
-
Sounds like it's time to reevaluate your diet and exercise.3
-
Thank you so much..Am going to focus on more HIIT and carb cycling. Hopefully that does the trick.1
-
You look great, congratulations on all your hard work and success so far.
Personally I'm an exercise-phobe but HIIT is always my go to. Best of luck to you1 -
You are so beautiful, both before and after! You look amazing, your had work has paid off, you will get there, it will just take time (we all wish time would move faster, but there you have it). Keep it up!2

It's easy to break through a plateau just have to do re calculate your tdee etc then eat the required amount to lose weight....calorie deficit for weight loss simple as that really1

You look great!1

You look amazing! You have done a great job! You can push through and make it to the end, I know it!1

Thank you all. I am paying attention to my macros now. Trying to break free from the scale.
Something surprising happened last week that I wanted to share. I asked my trainer to take a video of me squatting. The person in the video was not an unhealthy obese person I imagined but a toned person performing sqauts in good form. The video pleasantly surprised me and made me realize a lot of problem is my own body image issue as well.3 -
You have come so far -you look fabulous!!! Keep it up & you will break thru the plateau!!1
-
Don't give up u look awesome!! Great job so far1
-
how frustrating... get three or four plans to break the plateau and start with one, like your HIT and try that for three weeks and see if you start losing..then move on to the next plan if it doesn't until you find what will work.
I hit a plateau years ago. i broke mine by eating a few off plan meals..ie; chicken and dumplings things like that. And then i went back on and started losing. So, I'd add two cheat days a week and see if that shakes things up.1 -
Whatever you do, don't quit and backslide, like so many people do when they get frustrated. You look amazing! Even if you never progress beyond this point (which I doubt will happen), just think of how far you've come and how well you've done thus far. Even if all you do is maintain, it will still be a success!2
-
You look amazing. Strongly suggest taking measurements. Keep it up.
