I'm starting to weigh my food. Do I weigh meat, veggies, etc. before or after I cook it?

I tend to weigh raw, but really it doesn't matter as long as you pick the right database entry. So if you weigh cooked, find an entry for cooked.1

You'll find both raw and cooked entries in the food database. That said, it's generally better to weigh your food raw.
Food loses water (and fat, when applicable) when it's cooked. And both cooking time and method will have an impact on how much weight is lost during the cooking process.2 -

Raw is more accurate but you need to make sure you are using the database entry for raw. Cooking methods will make a difference in the final weight. Example: you have a 6 oz. sirloin steak. If you cook it well or medium well, you cook out more of the water than if you cook it medium rare. Your well done steak will weigh less than the medium rare steak, but the calories would be close to the same.1 -
