Do you use a food scale, measuring everything and logging everything?

An excess of calories cause weight gain. It does not matter if those calories are carbs, proteins or fats.

Yes...carbs are just one of three macro nutrients...there's nothing wrong with carbs.

I enjoy both pasta and rice, although neither are frequent. I do consume bread on a daily basis. Nothing wrong with carbs, barring medical conditions.

If you aren't losing consider: How long have you been doing this (the first couple weeks may not show much)? Have you also started a new workout routine or increased intensity (can lead to water retention, masks weight loss)? Are you logging everything accurately by weight (even prepackaged foods are inaccurate)? Are you using the correct database entries (the database is mainly user created, along with regional differences, there are many inaccurate entries)?

I eat carbs. There is no "taboo". Some people avoid certain foods because it helps them control their hunger better. Others (like me) do better eating whatever they like but controlling portions to stay within their goal. Don't follow someone else's rules - you need to find what works for you.

I eat carbs. I love carbs.... Especially on Sundays when I get to eat more of them.

I don't eat much pasta or rice though, I prefer other things.

carbs are most of what i eat...its what i like its what my body craves and im perfectly okay with that. If its what your body wants theres nothing wrong with them. Most my carbs are potatoes bread and rice i dont really eat pasta.

Im down 85 pounds in 10 months, So no it wont stop weight loss. Even with PCOS which mean low carb is generally suggested for me to lose weight. Was miserable on low carb. Calories stop weight loss, Not carbs.
