Hi. I am considering buying an air fryer. Does anyone have one? What do you think of it? I don't do many fried foods but my kids really like French fries and potato chips.

I love love love mine! I make potato chips in it all the time. Chicken wings. Perogies I'm sure the list goes on. We use ours all the time.

I'm considering one too. What's the clean up like- that's one reason I rarely deep fry, for the tiny portion for me it's not worth all the clean up.

I purchased one recently. They make the best fries which are much healthier than those fried in oil and are actually preferred by my daughter because they are nice and crunchy. Also great for so many other things. We use it a few times a week at least.

We use ours for a lot, I enjoy the crunch! We use it mostly for homemade/frozen fries since we're a family of four, but have done wings, porkchops, and a few other larger things, but can only do those one/a few at a time. Would be excellent for a single or couple! Clean up is easy, I find you use even less dishes then when you throw something in the oven

I have one....no longer use it - if I want chips/fries I want the real thing not some dried up ones :/ it is good for stir frying veg though!

Got my air fryer! Made fried chicken and it came out very crisp!

My wife bought a GoWise 3.7 that was a very good deal. $60 or so. We've used it several times with good results. For best results, though it isn't truly fat free cooking. Just about every source on line recommends spraying a small amount of oil to enhance crisping. Wings, fries, etc. have been satisfactorily crisp. As I said, she got a good deal but that's balanced against the fact that it isn't large enough to cook things like a turkey breast. At least I haven't found one small enough to fit. So if you can get a larger one at a decent cost, I would recommend it.

The philips one is great! Love it. Not really analogous to a deep fryer, but I do use it for some frozen foods - fries, onion rings. Really though I use it more for things like breakfast sausages or bacon, bratwurst, mini quiches or other appies. I have done a small pork rib roast...it was great.

Of course for the kids - chicken strips and battered fish. Better and faster than an oven (no preheating necessary)

Also a lot of chicken...if I roll on breadcrumbs or wings.

For me another great feature is minimal mess...and dishwasher safe.

I have one, and clean up is easy. Potato wedges are super easy. I toss the wedges with flour and spices then air fry them with a couple tablespoons of oil.

I've had one for over a year. It's really simple to use and easy to clean. I've cooked chicken breast, steak, split whole chickens, chicken breast snitzel, eggs-done in a quiche/scrambled style, salmon etc. It can be used for so much more than fries which is great. Get the largest size you can find for your budget. Some items may require a light olive oil spray, most don't, it's a personal preference thing really. It also uses less electricity than an oven and doesn't make the house hot in summer!

I've seen those thing on TV, and I think that the idea is pretty cool, but those things are way too huge for me to have one in my kitchen. Something that big would have to do more than just crisp things that I could easily pan-fry or cook in the oven.
