Accurate macro info

I'm frustrated by trying to find the correct calories and macros for many foods. Right now I'm looking for info on roasted chicken leg quarter. There are so many variations and the reference to "one unit" is puzzling as the size will vary.
What do you suggest?

Well, if you want accuracy you weigh the chicken leg and find an entry based on weight rather than "units".
Otherwise, you pick a middle of the road entry and know that the whole system is approximations.0 -
Thanks. I've done this up to now but the variance is big. I'll just have to average it as you say. Too bad the app doesn't have basic foods programmed in.

The app has tons of basic foods programmed in. The problem is that the database is user-generated and there are a lot of bad/incorrect entries in it. When in doubt, check the USDA site and try to find an MFP entry which closely matches their nutritional information.0 -
I've found many nutrition info sites again with various values. I'll try that one. Are the MFP entries the ones with a blue checkmark?0
