When your flexors tell you to go *kitten* off

I'm a pole fitness girl and if there's something I know I'm good at its my grip that has never failed me... Up until yesterday.
I was doing the crossfit 17.2 open workout,2 rounds of dumbell walking lunges, 16 toes to bar 8 dumbell cleans and then 2 rounds of 15 walking lunges, 16 muscle ups and 8 dumbell cleans.
I did this on Friday and got stuck on the muscle ups... Did it again on Saturday and got stuck on the muscle ups..
Took Sunday as a rest day but went for it again yesterday.
All of a sudden, wile doing the toes to bar my forearms started to burn like so bad.. it's like they locked out and just told me to go *kitten* myself.. They where so hard and stiff and over pumped I could bearly use my hands or grip the bar. So I quit to rest a bit and let them relax..
I tried 3 times yesterday and my muscles always did the same thing.. they went super stiff and where rock hard. I barely managed to finish my first 2 rounds cause of this and finally I gave up.
It took hours for the tension to go down and when I was doing something with my arms last night, like cutting up a sweet potato I felt the muscles go tight again so I stopped.
Anyone knows what this is? How to prevent this and why the hell my knuckles are all bruised up after this ?

Everyone has different fitness tolerance levels, it seems that you've hit, your current maximum & thus should rest for, at least few days while; your body repairs itself! This' a result of overworking, not resting enough and/or attempting to do too much at once (either longer periods of the same exercise/intensity or increasing the intensity beyond what your body's able to currently deal with).3

Go tomorrow but don't do the muscle ups. Lots of other stuff to do, don't force a potential Injury. Your body just told you that you need more than 1 day rest on that.0

Compartment syndrome was my first thought as well. I would see a doc or PT if rest doesn't help.0 -
Get a good sports massage on your forearms. I have completely burned out my forearms before and it is painful and they get super swole. Foam roll them, tennis ball, self myofascial release. Definitely allow yourself to rest your arms/forearms, if they are stiffening up that seriously you could put yourself at risk for injury, which would suck and mess up your consistent routine you've worked so hard to get back to.
