Add in oils, nut butters, leave skin on your chicken. A few nuts every few hours.

Oats are a rich source of calories! I sprinkle them in my smoothies and have a few for breakfast and that helps me reach my goals much more quickly (:

eat healthy fats. 9 calories per gram for fats versus 4 calories per gram for carbs and proteins. That being said, remember, everything in moderation!

All natural peanut butter, avocados, almonds, whole grains bread (I used a 21 whole grains and seed; 120 calories per slice), and I do a banana, peanut butter protein shake that's 665 calories.

What are you eating? My guess would be that you cut back too much on dietary fat if you're having issues hitting your calorie targets. If you're eating egg whites, eat whole eggs...if you're using reduced fat or no fat salad dressings, use full fat. Use higher or full fat dairy. Saute or roast your veggies with quality cooking oils. Eat nuts and nut butters, etc.
