    HELP

    I need somebody
    Help, not just anybody

    Ok Ok....

What are you looking to do?

Personally, I am here to lose weight and could careless about macros and such. I went through the profile questionaire, entered my data, how much I wanted to lose per week, activity levels, and such. MFP told me how many calories to eat. I enter my food in as accurately as I could (I would take a bite here and a bite there that I would not log and then wonder why the scale didn't move). If I bite it, I write it.

I track my food and it worked well for me. I fell off the wagon when I injured myself and now I am back to do it again!

Do you need help with something specific or just asking in general?

Start by reading this threads links and ask anything you don't understand.

    Good luck :)

Just click on "Food in the tool bar. click on "add food under the meal..then type in the food you ate. It will give you all the info on that food..it gets a lot easier and quicker after a few times

You plug in your statistics - height, weight, etc. You tell the program you want to lose weight, gain weight, maintain weight. Then pick a weekly goal.

Then My Fitness Pal gives you a daily calorie goal to MEET (before exercise). You measure & log everything you eat. You log exercise......earn more calories (eat some of those calories too).

A higher weekly - let's say weight loss goal = a lower daily calorie goal.

You eat food you enjoy HOWEVER, managing portions is key for most of us.
