My advice would be to start by not calling your belly disgusting lol. Your body just did an amazing job for you! Other than that - use the app to set reasonable, sustainable goals. Be in a calorie deficit most days. Good luck!

Stick to the losing weight section of the forum, very useful and people with vast knowledge and experience

There are some vile people in the chit chat section of the forum, if avoid if I was you

this is not true at all.

OP, for some basic weight loss questions, how MFP works etc.. the stickies at the beginning of the forums here provide a wealth of knowledge to you. Also search the MFP forums for topics of interest.

Good luck, the Community here is a great place for help. You might want to go to Introduce Yourself Section and Getting Started sections of the forums as well.

Be patient. If you fall of the wagon one day don't give up - just get back at it the next day. If you have a craving, satisfy it with a very small portion and work it into your calorie allotment for the day. If you can't have just a little portion of it (I can't with chocolate) find a substitute.

I lost 120 pounds (54Kg). My personal success was due to diet and exercise. I use MFP to handle the diet, my treadmill handles my exercise tracking, and I just add it to MFP for total calorie totals. I'm not what your approach is, if it's just diet or diet and exercise. In either case what helped for me was going 'all in'. I had to make it a new lifestyle/habit. I would exercise 6 days a week, focused on which day I would get off. Likewise on diet I would let myself slip (go to a buffet, etc) but monitor how often it happened. Like exercise I would only let myself slip once a week or less.

I started workouts and I noticed a slight difference that gives me hope..but on measurements not weight I'll be patient
