My name is Chloe, and I'm a wine and junk food junkie (possible link there)!

Hi everyone, after having used MyFitnessPal for several years - with limited success - I thought I'd finally now join the community! I read in a report recently that those people that even have one connection socially on weight loss/fitness platforms are 40% more likely to succeed - that'll do it for me! Also, I've hit quite a lull after putting on a lot of weight recently and don't feel very motivated - particularly after having a drink or 9, my main Achilles's heel aside potato salad and crisps - so it would be good to chat with people for some support and mutual encouragement. Anybody else in my camp?!

Hi Chloe, sounds like we are very much in the same boat. I lost a bunch of weight using this back in 2013 and have slowly put a lot of it back on over the last 4 years, I'm also a bit of a wine junkie as well, love a good bottle of white in the evenings - but I've given it up for lent and am doing ok so far.

I'm back logging everything now and getting a bit of exercise cycling to work, and have begun losing weight at a decent rate again. I'll send you a friend request in a mo and we can do this together!

Hi Aerosam, wow, I didn't expect anybody to reply so quickly! Argh, wine is the downfall of all good men and women! It's red for me, although I recently bought a bottle of prosecco in the hope that, because it wasn't my favourite tipple, I'd be less likely to open it... it did actually remain in the fridge for three days before I attacked it last night, but I have sort of managed to compensate this morning with walking most of the way to work (about an hour). This is a useful app, and if we've both done it before, we can both do it again - let's have at it!
