I have just started on my new journey to lose 70lbs. My knees are shot so I am riding my bike and on a new meal plan. Looking for inspiration.

Hi. Hope I can give you some inspiration. I just lost 40 pounds on weight watchers and am moving to this program for a change. Still have 15 or so to loose. I am 61 and had problems with my legs. They feel 100% better. I have never been into exercise and did very little. Now I am trying to focus more on exercise. You can do it. Stay focused on what you want.1

I love Gretchen Rubin (author of Better than Before). Check out that book for help forming new habits. One of the habit tricks that I use in this case is thinking of your future self. What will your future self be glad you did now? I am 62. Have walked 4-5 miles every morning for 30 years. I always am fighting 5-10 pounds to be at my feel fabulous in my body point. I started Barre 3 to have some consistent workout other than the cardio and walking workout. I am an upholder so it is important to me to get my 5 Barre 3 workouts every week. I also have an apple watch and love watching my data add up during the day. It has been getting me out for extra minutes. Using this with MyFitnesspal to count my calorie. I like knowing that my exercise adds calories which help me stay on track with my eating. In 30 days I've lost 4 of the 10 pounds I'm trying to get off for summer. The trick will be keeping them off after I get back into my cutest clothes. This week to burn more calories I've been taking an extra afternoon walk either beach where I live in winter or neighborhood while listening to a podcast.
