Help! Does anybody know how to use this machine for squats?

My dad gave me this old machine of his that he used when he was a lot younger. He lost the instructions manual and doesn't remember how a lot of it works haha. Does anybody recognize what model it is first of all so I could look it up? I know it's ventra and it's something that came before the 1450.
I'm trying to figure out how to work multiple muscle groups with this because it's so much easier to change weights and track progress than dumbbells. Right now I'm squatting dumbbells and im running out of weights.
Does anybody know how to set up squats on this machine? It has squat attachments that literally say squat attachments (I put them on the bench in the picture) so I'm almost positive that it's possible, I just don't know how. When2hu6orqyj8if.jpg
I look it up nothing helpful comes up.

Ehhh, rent a welder and weld some hooks to it in a fashion that lets you set a barbell?

I think you have to remove the bench and put those pads on the arms of the chest press. But I'm not sure.

Really, I'd bet you'd do better working the dumbbells in different ways, such as lunges or Bulgarian split squats.

http://www.vectrafitness.com/1450_home_gym.html#1450intro-exercises [1450 seems similar to what you have]

download the "Brochure" and see if the image there helps

    19. Squat*
    Benefits: Quadriceps, gluteals, hamstrings.
Position: Secure squat attachments and adjust
starting height. Position shoulders and hips
directly under pads, feet slightly forward, thighs
    parallel to floor.
Action: Slowly raise bar up to full standing
    position, return.
Tips: Keep back straight and head up. Use only leg
    action to complete movement.

Yeah, you attach them to the press set.

I did squats this way for almost a year (it's what I had available). I found it very difficult to get good form, and the way that the pads rest on your shoulders... it's very painful when lifting anything heavy. That said... You will have to work with what you have, you know?

I just tried attaching the squat rests and I'm super confused because there's no lever to adjust the chest press thing to a different angle and they won't even fit correctly on it. In one of the pictures, the model did squats with the lat pull down. Is this possible?

Not the lat pulldown - thats the start of the video - Watch the vidow at 15:08 - where it says squat

I did but my model must be different because whatever they did in the video doesn't seem possible with my set up. There's no way to adjust the height of the bar things and the squat attachments don't fit right
