Hi everyone, my name is Nick, I live in Chicago, Illinois. When I was a kid my folks were horrifyingly poor, so much so, that my first grade teacher set up a food drive for me because I was skin and bone. When I got to be around 10 I went to live with my grandparents, who always had food, and thus, my weight gain started. I was always heavy going through school. Made fun of by my family etc. Well I'm 25 now, getting married in a couple weeks and for the past 3 months have been doing cardio 6x a week, I work in security so that helps, only, I've always wanted the whole aBs big arms look, not scary big just my vision big lol. I've never lifted weights, I'm very weak, I'm ashamed to admit, I was maybe looking for help in that area, what exercises I should do, maybe even get a work out buddy. Thanks for listening to my rambling. - Nick

Well I've still got a little gut to lose and my damn love handles. I started out 217 about 3 months ago and just with cardio I'm down to 203, been on a strictly 1500 cal diet.0

The very first post on this thread has a lot of good information on programs and what not. I've done Stronglifts 5x5 and it was a very easy program to follow and a good place to start but other programs listed are as well. Stronglifts is just the one I chose to begin with. Good luck! Lifting is addictive!
