@dreawest - That does seem to be what's happening to me. The biggest problem I run into is getting hungry at 4 a.m., and being able to have a large, satisfying dinner would probably make a huge difference in that problem.

@lazyprincesss - I'm not doing well enough with water; I've only made it up to about 3 cups a day. That's probably part of the problem, but I can't imagine feeling /this/ ravenous would go away from just water.

@jessicapk - I was on some kind of health website that said a huge breakfast and a small dinner would be much healthier than a small breakfast and a large dinner. Apparently that advice wasn't written for dieters! It's definitly just jump-starting my appetite early in the day.

@Sunna_W - Would I need to be tested for yeast overgrowth somehow?

I rarely eat breakfast because it makes me hungry all day and if I don't eat dinner and a snack or second dinner around 9 I wake up during the night so hungry I can't sleep. When you read advice online remember that people don't come out of molds and what's right for one person could be horrible for others. Good luck

Thanks, @Rebecca0224 . I'll try eating smaller breakfasts.

Thanks, all. I decided to have a cheat day to get back to normal, and eating a higher calorie amount today actually caused me to throw up (not on purpose)! I don't know what my body wants at this point, but it's clear that the medication must be messing with me if a bit too little leaves me starving and a bit too much leaves me throwing up lunch.
If, after your period starts, you feel "normal" again, reconsider all the options. Best of luck, regardless.

Oh well for me there are a few days.... PMS....that cause me to want to eat anything in front of me...luckily I find any weight gain doesn't stay long. Overall breakfast is a huge no no for me diet wise. I get up at 5:30 drink coffee but don't eat anything until 10:00am-10:30am. When my students have snack that is when I'll have my low cal blueberry muffin...if I eat any earlier than this I'm starving more throughout the day...and since I can't eat at my leisure during the day this helps me to feel satisfied and not be cranky. :D

I skimmed the thread so apologies if someone else has already suggested it, but can you get blood work done? It sounds like your calorie goal is sufficient, but that doesn't mean you're getting all the nutrition you need. If you're low on a vitamin or other nutrient, it's possible it could be making you feel like garbage.

Your medication does sound like it might be part of the problem, but either way, it sounds like something you might want to talk about with your doctor if you can find one that's more supportive.
