Happy Pi Day 2017
March 14 - or 3/14 - is Pi Day in honor of the Greek letter that represents the symbol used in mathematics to represent the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter - approximately 3.14.
Pi has been calculated to over one trillion digits beyond its decimal point. As an irrational and transcendental number, it will continue infinitely without repetition or pattern. While only a handful of digits are needed for typical calculations, Pi's infinite nature makes it a fun challenge to memorize, and to computationally calculate more and more digits.

I teach algebra 1 and we were supposed to have a pi day celebration today. Five bonus points to anyone who brings in a pie. There's no school because of the snow storm and I'm not sure what to do with all of this jello2
