Hi everyone!
This isn't a recipe, per say...but instead, more like a FABULOUS FIND at the grocery store...:) I am a LOVER of oatmeal...and saw that Quaker makes a Multi-Grain hot cereal (Rye, Barley, Oats, Wheat mixture)...for 130 calories per serving (1/2 cup uncooked)...I decided to give it a whirl and LOVE IT!

Its obviously similar to regular oatmeal...but has more texture to it...I definitely recommend you try it....:)
Happy Thursday!

Thanks! I will have to check that out.. I used to LOVE oatmeal with lots of butter and sugar:) I have learned to like plain oatmean with fresh blueberries in it... This sounds like it would be really yummy:)

I LOVE oatmeal too! We had a lunch-n-learn here at work and they gave us free samples of Bob's red mill hot cereals. They are SOOOO yummy! Visit their site - http://www.bobsredmill.com/cereals/ for more info!

Lots of organic and gluten free choices! Enjoy!

I used to do oatmeal on a regualr basis but got burnt out on it while breastfeeding (it promotes lactation and I had low milk production). So now the baby (17mos) and I share Bob's Red Mill 7-grain Hot Cereal. It contains flaxseed, wheat, rye, triticale oats oat bran, barely and rice. It has only 140 calories and 1.5 g of fat per serving (and 6 g fiber 6 g protein). It has more the consistency of grits or steal cut oats but I love it! You can mix in cheese and spices to make it savory, honey or fruit jelly to make it sweet.
    This stuff rocks!

When fresh blueberries are out of season, i buy frozen blueberries and cranberries (make sure they are no sugar added!) and put them in while my oatmeal cookes. My hubby likes to add them when it's done cooking, but I like them while cooking.. give it a shot!
