I'm despondent.:frown:

I cannot lose weight even though I try, try, try, try, try, try, try.

I'm stressed

My head always hurts.

My stomach always hurts.

SOMETHING ALWAYS HURTS!!!!!!!!!! :frown: :indifferent:

I have no energy. (even though I exercise which is suppose to give you energy)

I cannot even force myself to eat. All food is gross. No flavor.

I'd rather be in heaven where there is no pain. Where there is no 'weight'. Where there is no stress.

I'm depressed. :frown:

Support?

well its hard to see what u are eating cuz ur diary is not open... maybe u are eating the wrong things, or not enough.. there could a million reasons for all of it, have u gone to see/talk to your dr.?
  • It's open now. I went to the dr. last week. We thought maybe we found a solution. But the solution's side effects have made it even worse. :(

I've emailed my dr. about it all. I'll probably have to go back in to see her soon.

I would also suspect that you are eating the wrong things. Perhaps you even have a food sensitivity or allergy. Have you been to a doctor to make sure you aren't anemic, or have some other physical ailment going on?

Drop your carbs to around 100 g eat more protein around 150g keep low fats i guess that would be around 1300 cals.
Do this for 2 weeks and drink alot of water. Make meals of 300 cals maximum

Depression and lethargy are side effects of not eating enough! Force yourself to eat. Your relationship with food must change to lose weight. Food is NOT your enemy in this battle, it is your ally!

Begin with something small and flavorful like a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Then set the timer to eat 3 hours later. Eat another snack like an apple, cheese, and crackers. The set the timer to eat three hours later. Eat another small meal like a turkey sandwich or half of a burrito. Drink some water, and go to bed.

When you wake up, force yourself to eat an egg and toast. Maybe even a piece of fruit. Then eat another snack 3 hours later. Your body will be nourished and you'll begin to feel the sensation of hunger again. Don't be afraid of it. It means that your body has consumed and used all the healthy food you're eating and it wants more. That's good!

When you feel up to it, eat a snack and go for a walk. When you come back, eat another snack.

You'll begin to feel better, and you can do this. But it's not going to cure itself. You have it in you to be good to yourself, and guess what? YOU DESERVE TO FEEL GOOD! Treat yourself well by eating well.

I have also written a post on what causes a plateau and how you can move past it. I hope it helps. I hope you have hope.

You say that to want to "stop drinking so much." The booze on its own will derail everything else you're doing.

(I love to drink, so I'm not being judgmental. But I found that when I got serious about losing wait, it had to be "bye bye, alcohol." I haven't drunk in six months now. :-( But the results are hard to argue with.)

I'm sorry you're going through a rough time right now that really sucks. I felt like you a few months ago and wasn't losing anything no matter how hard I thought I was trying. I went to my doctor who said that it might be related to the things I was eating. I have since cut out all gluten/wheat as well as most dairy. I have lost over 20lbs feel way more energetic and my head and stomach don't hurt anymore! I'm not saying that this will necessarily be the case for you but it's worth going to a doctor or nutritionist about I think. Good luck!

First thing I am going to recommend is to throw away your scale. You sound like a slave to it and you need not to be! THROW IT AWAY! Second; listen to yourself, listen to your body. What kind of food does your body want? What do you need to do? Do you need to take a day to yourself to recenter? Do you need to pound it out on the treadmill? What do you NEED?

Third and last... you may want to see someone for your depression. You don't need to be alone or feel alone in your struggle:( Sorry you're dealing with this.

Do you exercise enough? If not you should definitely start hittin' the gym more. I'd also take into consideration what kinda stuff you're eating and cut down on some of the more high calorie stuff.

Wow! I don't know you, but I hope you are a person big on hyperbole. Rather be in Heaven? You sound like a person about to do something irrational. I hope not. But, how long have you tried, and tried? I can't stress enough the importance of a professional trainer enough. A different set of eyes on your situation just might point you in the right direction. They have the ability to get you started on your goals. A good trainer should be able to diagnose your diet, and excercise regime, and put you on the road to success. You will get nowhere with the "whoa is me" mentality. Get some professional help.

Maybe I'm reading more into this than what you meant, but this makes me believe you need professional help. I found this statement a little bit alarming. With all the kindness & caring I can muster into words, please seek help if you truly meant what you wrote. :flowerforyou:

I wrote my original response before you opened your diary. I do notice a pattern in your diary that concerns me.

After many days of sticking to your alotted calories or dipping below 1200 net calories, I see a very heavy meal with nearly 1000 calories.

Perhaps increasing your calories and being dilligent about eating back your exercise calories will prevent your body from sending your into a food revolt. You'll be nourished and energetic, and you won't be denying your body the calories it so desperately needs. Instead of 2 or 3 1000 calorie meals (which likely get stored in a large percentage as fat), you'll be spreading those calories out over the course of days. Your body won't force a binge, your energy level will stabilize, your blood sugar won't be in a spike-and-crash cycle, and you'll probably begin losing.

    Hope this helps!
  • Don't worry, I'm not going to kill myself. I just don't want to be in pain anymore. I love my husband, family, and friends too much to do that. I also know how it feels to lose someone I loved to suicide. It sucks.

I am going to try changing up my diet some. Maybe, stop eating the same things all the time???

I do exercise about an hour everyday, maybe a little less/more depending on my mood.

    I do love to exercise.

I've been trying to lose weight for over a year now. I lost it back in '07, but it all came back when I got married in'09. Ever since, I've been trying to get it off. Yes, I know that I do overeat at parties sometimes, and I do like to drink. Those two things right there have kept the weight on, I know.

I hate this "poor poor pitiful me" feeling. I need to get over my self and just be happy, but sometimes it's easier said than done. Thanks y'all for all the encouragement though.
  • P.S. - Nice buck on your profile picture!

Thank you. That was my biggest one yet.

Try changing the beer to Bud 55 or MGD 64. I like my alcohol also. I switched to Irish Whiskey on the rocks, it has less calories, no carbs, and no peeing.

I may try the irish whiskey. Thanks.

On a totally unrelated note, I can't believe I typed "weight" as "wait." :noway:
