I have tried Slimfast vanilla (way too much sugar) and had dried vega one all in one vanilla (that tasted awful) the after taste was nasty. I am looking for something (preferably without flavour) to add to my fruit smoothies... I am a newbie on the whole protein shake world. I don't like the stevia after taste in vega one. any suggestions. thanks

I like Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey or Trutein powders. I mix mine with unsweetened almond milk and mix ins (like peanut butter, sugar free pudding powder, fruits, flavor extracts, etc.) to get whatever flavor I want.

My current fave is chocolate protein powder, unsweetened almond milk, a little bit of chocolate sugar free pudding powder (thickens it up like a milkshake), a little bit of peppermint extract and three ice cubes. Tastes like a mint chocolate milk shake.

For value, mixability and flavor, I gotta go with Myprotein Impact Whey
    Cost is no issue? Truetein.

I like the Ancient Nutrition's Bone Broth protein in pure. I use it in my soups or in my smoothies. Works for both savory and sweet for me.

I like BioChem Natural Whey. It has a hint of vanilla. Their Vanilla option is way too vanilla-y, IMO.

Ingredients: Whey protein isolate, Natural french vanilla flavor, sunflower lecithin, xanthan gum.

There is NO yeast, wheat, gluten, preservatives, artificial color, artificial flavor or artificial sweeteners.

My favorite - Garden of Life Raw Fit protein powder (protein 28g, sugar 1g) with unsweetened almond milk. I like the Coffee flavor best, but the Vanilla is doable (I put a few drops of flavored Sweet Leaf stevia ... Vanilla Creme ...in with the vanilla Raw Fit). Like the OP ... I am not a fan of the taste of the Vega Vanilla.

Drinking Dymatize Chocolate Fudge and Strawberry right now. Mixability is great, and tastes good with cold water.

For my money? MyProtein Impact Cinnamon Roll Whey. However, I'll often use a 50/50 mix of their vanilla micellar casein and either vanilla or vanilla raspberry whey.

"Best" is a very subjective term. What's most important to you? Taste? Percent protein? Price?

For me, the best combination of taste, quality and value is Myprotein Impact Whey, and it's not even close.

I like doing crazy flavors to mix things up. Quest Cookies and Cream Protein powder and Combat Birthday Cake protein powder were both fun. I didn't mind Vega's Coconut Almond, but their chocolate one was awful.
