TDEE vs MFP "complete diary" button

I've been using the tdee method but thinking of switching to logging exercises just so the "complete diary" might be more accurate with what I'll weigh in 5 weeks. I used to wear a hrm but got too obsessed with numbers so I stopped (but I learned an estimate of what i burn per workout) Will logging exercise make my "what you'll weigh in 5 weeks" lower?
Or another way to word the question simpler, do the people that use TDEE method even bother clicking "complete diary" and ignore the "what you'll weigh in 5 weeks" since you don't log exercise?
Hope this all makes sense lol

the "what you'll weight in 5 weeks" is not useful information. do not change anything for that reason.3

Personally, I ignore it anyway. Its only an estimate and if I had a rough day or if there was a family function or something, it only does it based ON THAT ONE DAY. It doesn't take into consideration that its only one day and not a trend. I've heard about too many people freaking out over that "estimate" so I ignore it unless its worth a good chuckle on a day I've gone over!0

I use the TDEE method and do log my exercise as *1* calorie. I log it more so to stay accountable than anything else. I also complete my diary daily. I totally ignore the "what you'll weigh in 5 weeks" and usually find it pretty humorous, because it literally changes daily and while I am usually on point with my calories, I do not think I have had one day that the number is exactly the same. I know that if the scale and my measurements are giving me the results I want, then all is good. And chuckle at the "you will weigh" figure.1

I haven't bothered clicking complete diary in a very long time, but I still use the MFP numbers for sedentary and log exercise. It's only an estimate anyway based on eating that same way every single day for 35 days. And, it assumes that I won't have any different water retention based on my cycle or exercise intensity. I eat different things different times of the day with varied calorie counts and exercise, so there is no reason for me to even complete it.
Keep doing what you're doing and have confidence in your methods!0 -
Yes, it will... assuming you've got MFP setup as the standard NEAT method.
If you increase your activity setting so that MFP's calorie recommendation is more in line with your TDEE, then you won't have to log exercise and your ___ in 5 weeks message will be more accurate (at least based on the math).1 -
I am not understanding. Why would you log exercise just to make the number lower? I mean it is inaccurate either way but doing TDEE or doing MFP plus exercise should result in pretty much the same but doing TDEE and then logging exercise just sounds like it would be more inaccurate.0

People who do tdee don't log exercise calories, therefore entering "complete diary" on mfp wont be accurate with what youll weigh in 5 weeks would it?0 -

Well I don't think it is accurate either way but I do TDEE and don't log exercise and I still think you'd be making it more inaccurate but I guess you can try it and let us know.1 -

I don't pay any attention to that message or the button. There is no way to know exactly what I am going to weigh, 5 weeks from now.0 -
