Anyone here follow a sport specific, basketball in specific, weight training program?
I need some help putting on muscle mass to improve my low post game but I also need to work on my explosiveness and vertical leap.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Weighted box jumps, jumping jacks, and burpees. Jump squats. Not lifting, but these would help your goals.0

Plyometric training will do wonders for your vertical leap.0

Muscles are what help you move and produce force, so if you want to run faster or jump higher, you need stronger muscles to produce more force. So I would totally be lifting heavy - things like squats with a pause at the bottom to build explosive strength...
Throw in some plyometrics too but in moderation0 -
Michael Jordan lifted weights. Never seemed to diminish his explosiveness, and most weight lifters will tell you that strength training, done properly, actually increases explosiveness.
That said, most of the sport-specific training programs that I have encountered are pretty much the same. (So much for specific.) They all have you do lots of box jumps, sprinting, and other plyometrics.0
