Ok so im back giving it all another shot...after all it isnt failure unless you give up right? well Ive done awesome today with absolutely everything. a really fantastic day but I went over in the sugar category by 2 and i know this isnt much and not bad at all but that red -2 is all i can think of. how destroying to the whole weight loss through these figures is it to go over like that or even worse in a day or on average?
it is somewhat hampering my mood when I know thats ridiculous. any information would be greatly appreciated for this newbie!
thanks

pretty much unless you eat from the outside of the store you are gonna go over in sugar....it's in everything....2g is no biggie....I'm never even close0

Is there a reason you are tracking sugar? Mine isn't tracking sugar intake. Not sure what your limit would be but 2 over is not that significant for one day.0

I only worry about going over in calories and I do go over every once in a while. I figure I am taking baby steps here and that is what works for me. Some day I will reign in all of the numbers.
Good luck!0 -
MFP doesn't differentiate between fruit sugar and crappy sugar, so it's not a big deal to be over on it.
Also MFP sets protein quite low so I TRY to be over that (for me almost double what it was set at).0 -
I don't worry about the sugar. The VAST majority of mine comes from fruit and other "clean" foods. I do keep an eye on my added sugars, but that's just to keep my sweet tooth in check.0

I know some people watch those numbers daily. Personally I track carbs, protein, fat, sodium and fiber. Although I dont like seeing any of them in the red, I only really care about calories. And as far as that goes - most days I'm under, some days over. It all evens out in the end. I really try not to stress over it, and there are no forbidden foods for me - simply moderation, after all this isn't a diet it's life and lifestyle changes. Seems to be working for me so far.0

I don't think I have ever had a day where I wasn't over in something, and I have lost over 40 lbs. You will make yourself nuts if you try to get every number dead on. Use them as a goal to shoot for, a guideline.0
