Calories Burnt Rollover?!

My mom said that at weight watchers they say that if you don't eat your exercise calories/points one day, you can eat them the next day even if you don't exercise that day. Is that true?

I am confused I thought you just burnt extra calories by exercising and that you still only eat you set amount??0

Yea...but if you don't eat back the extra calories the same day, they say you can eat those extra calories on a different day? Does that make sense? Sorry! It's kind of confusing0

i would..one of my friends on the site told me a good way to keep your metabolism up is to eat varied amounts of calories from day to day. i think its a good way to go about your diet because it makes it more easy to stick to. for me some days im not nearly satisfied with 1400 calories so i let myself go to 1600, other days its easy to eat just 1200. and these are all normal calorie amounts for me on a diet. soo..i think you should carry over your workout calories; some days, eat them all, some days dont eat any, some days eat them the following day. just my thoughts on it..hope it helps0

I didn't intentionally do this but I am doing great by doing it. I eat a few more one day and the next not as many. Just seems to be the natural way my body works best. And........I am losing lbs and gaining muscle. I also feel 10 years younger, lots of energy and not even a cold this Winter. I do pay attention to my food diary and "about" what I need though. And always, lots of water which for me is about 96 ounces per day:)

I have all the weight watchers stuff, and I didnt read anything about them rolling over.. I know you get an extra 35/week...0

not true at all. I did weight watchers and it works like this. you get a set number of points each day based one weight and some other factors. eg: mine was 28. each week you get an extra 35 points to do whatever you want with so if you want to spread them out over the week or eat them all on in one day you can. exercise or "activity" points earned must be used the day you earn them day only and i think it only lets you use up to 6 activity points so if you earn 10 you only get to count 6, unlike on here you can eat all your exercise calories each day, but to answer your question, points can only be used on the day they are earned except the 35 "flex" points.0

No, when you enter exercise into MFP, it'll tell you how much extra calories you "earned" from exercising. You always want to eat your exercise calories or you can drop yourself back down to under 1200 calories and send your body into starvation mode.
I know some people have links to why you should eat your exercise calories, but I am still fairly new and don't know exactly where to find these threads. maybe someone will post them?0
