I try not to, but somedays I'm just too damned hungry!0
-
I don't. I should, but don't.0

I was wondering the same thing! I know it says we "earned " them but isn't the point of exercise to burn off calories that we take in? I don't know. usually I don't eat those calories but it depends on the time of the month. lol really.0

I sometimes treat myself to orange juice ect.0
-
I just started to. Waiting to see the impact.0
-
I don't generally, and have noticed more loss. Though it is nice to have that "cushion" if I do dip into those I don't feel guilty about it!0
-
I totally do!!!!! as long as your bein honest with your excercise!!!0
-
I definitely do! If I didn't then some days (especially on the weekends) I'd prob be 2000 calories under target0
-
I don't go out of my way to consume them because I'm not burning crazy high calorie numbers like some of my friends and because I'm not sure how reliable the MFP database is for the exercise calories. If I'm really hungry I'll eat to be satisfied enough so I'm not tossing and turning in bed because my stomach is growling. I won't force myself to eat back calories if I'm not actually hungry.0
-
I try not to go over what MFP says my calorie goal is, but I don't make a real effort to meet it. BUT, most days I come out just about where MFP says I should with exercise included. But I drink wine most days so technically I don't "eat" them, but yeah I do consume them.0

Rarely. Usually I dont even record my exercise so that I won't.0 -

You are already eating a deficit, so you will lose weight with out exercise.0 -
I eat back almost all of my exercise calories. Haven't been hindered by it yet. Good luck.0
-
Nope!0
-
I don't! After all the debate on here, I talked with my nutritionist and my doctor and both said I do not need to eat back my exercise calories.0
-
I know everyone is saying you should eat all of them, but I usually only eat back about half. There's just only so much food I can eat.0
-
I just listen to my body, if I'm hungry I do and if I'm not I don't.0
-
I switch it up. Most days I'll eat at least SOME back, some days I'll eat nearly all, and some days I won't eat any back. Keeping my body guessing is working for me.0

if after i workout i'm hungry, i'll eat a lil something... but i dont usually go over the target i have set.0

I definitely eat my exercise calories because I want my metabolism to be maxed out as much as possible. Cutting back too much will end up wasting those exercise calories earned if you are a little bit into starvation mode.
I've done the starve me cycle of under eat, over eat, repeat. I'm looking for 100% steady now.
Don't forget your allotment even with those exercise calories added in is still what should work for you to lose weight. (Unless your metabolism is ravaged. Eating too little does exactly that - ravages your metabolism.)
Bottom line your body is not like a bank account. Cutting back too much does not accelerate weight loss long term as it can hinder your metabolism. (It works that way for me.)
And yeah, I agree with an earlier poster - good luck to everyone with whatever is working for you!0 -
I do and haven't see any difference whether I do or don't... been doing good on the weight loss so I am going to continue to do so0
-
Yes I do0
-
yesterday I drank them . . . :drinker:0
-
I eat MOST of them MOST of the time. After a hard workout I'd keel over without them!0
-
Depends on the day...if I am super hungry I will probably eat at least half of them back. Some days I dont eat any at all. Listen to your body and go from there0
-
I eat all mine back, have been since starting all this last January and it's never held me back. I use a heart-rate monitor so I know the count is accurate (well, as accurate as possible).
For those of you who use MFP calories - they tend to overestimate in most cases so try eating back half to 2/3rds of what you earn.0 -
Yep. It's worked pretty well for me. Some days, like yesterday, I run out of hours in the day and don't eat them ALL back.
No appetite in this heat! :grumble:0 -
I ofter have to, I have days where I burn more than a 1000 calories, if I didnt eat some of those back I would be famished. However I usually keep about 200-300 to make sure that i am honest in my portion sizes ect.0
-
nope, never had,0
-
Yes, although I think i should test out not eating them!0
