Total Weight lost: 150 (at lowest wt so far)
Time it took to lose: 2 1/2 years
How long in maintenance: 9/20/16 first day of weight within maint range
 Maintenance weight range: 150-155
 Jan avg 154.3

Success: today is my lowest weight since Feb 10 and back towards the middle of my maintenance range. Yay!
I've identified that my biggest maintenance challenge is eating out. I'd relaxed my "eat only half" guideline & could see the effect. My eating at home is still the same as when I was losing. Not much room for error for me during maintenance.8

How long in maintenance: I declared it at 140 last January, but that was too high for a petite lady. So not really in maintenance quite yet.
Maintenance weight range: Would like to stay under 125 at morning weigh-in.
Ongoing struggle: I still need to learn to trust my body cues, be content with eating just enough, and stop asking food to be more than just fuel. Life after work is just filled with getting steps and eating food to fill my evening. Really need to make peace with having fewer cals to work with. Contentment and an attitude of gratitude (and maybe a hobby) are the order of the day.

Success of the week: Time change has thrown me for a real loop! Will give myself credit for at least attempting most of my workouts, if not totally killing them. LOL
Lol. I felt the same about this time change last week This first day or so always throws me off balance since it feels like I lost an extra hour of sleep.1

Success/struggles of the week had a good week, all on track, had time to ride my bike and went to play hockey. Got lots of things done around the house too over the weekend, so happy about that, cause there's just not enough hours in days and things get put off a lot.3

Success/struggles of the week: I went out of town on business, and I tend to snack too much. I worry that I won't be able to find GF options when I don't have input into where we will be eating. Then, I had car trouble and I worried that hubs wouldn't be able to fix it. Then, it was hubs' birthday, so we went out to dinner. I had several struggles this week, but I'm back on track. I really only ate slightly above maintenance, although, if I hadn't tracked it, I would have thought I did much worse.4

Success/struggles of the week: This gluten thing is annoying me. Tried a gluten free pizza which didn't sit well at all, and gluten free pasta which was fine. Except both caused water retention, so I'm starting to think I should avoid all grains. I did see 142.4 this week, so not sweating this morning's number.1

@lorrpb , i try to follow smw rule when eating out, eat half and take the rest home. Although the restaurant we went to on Friday served me such a tiny portion, there wasn't much to split. I just left some corned beef for a doggy bag. But most of the time it works. Congratulations on your success!

            @nikkit321
I had this happen every time I ate GF pizza until I realized I was also lactose intolerant. Apparently, they're related, and the cheese was bothering me.
Also, there tends to be lot of cross contamination in pizza places.
 Hope this helps.

Total Weight lost: ~70 lbs (I dropped about 10 lbs below original goal)
Time it took to lose: 10 months (to original goal)

 6th March: 126.2
 13th March: 126.0
 20th March: 125.4
 27th March:
Success/struggles of the week: I felt like I had a good week. My son was home for spring break so there was more eating out and going for ice cream than normal, but overall it was fine. I finished C210K this week so I guess the three 60 minute runs this week helped. My weight this morning was a little below my range, but my trend is still 126.3 so I am not too worried. I have had a hard time pinning down my maintenance range, but I do feel like I am there. If I keep coming in under goal and if my trend drops down I may add 100 or so cals per day, but for now I will just keep an eye on it and see how it goes.5

The change in seasons has been really noticeable not likeing the shorter daylight hours (I don't walk on or after dusk due to local wildlife) it might be time to invest in a treadmill ready for winter time.

 Sorry, @stephenearllucas what is trendweight?3

 Sorry, @stephenearllucas what is trendweight?
 Here you go: https://trendweight.com/
It's a website that takes your daily weight and mathematically smoothes out the normal daily fluctuations so that you get a more accurate trend of actual body weight (i.e., it evens out water weight and other fluctuations that sometimes obscure our true weight trends).
I have my trendweight.com account linked to my FitBit account, so it automatically grabs my daily weigh-in data and does the trending calculations.
 Hope that helps!0

I'd like to join in here! I'm kind of late for March, but here I go...:
 Name: Michelle
Total Weight lost: I'm unsure, I'm more of a yo-yo'er, but from my very highest (~150), almost 50 lbs. (I'm short! 5'1")
Time it took to lose: well it's been about 4 or 5 years since my highest, so I guess since 2012?
How long in maintenance: I've been feeling really good and stable for about the past 6 months.
Maintenance weight range: 100ish lbs - 108ish lbs
Average weight recorded from February: N/A

            Name: Mandy
Total Weight lost: 4 stone (56lbs)
Time it took to lose: 16 months
How long in maintenance: 8.5 months (it's getting longer! ) )
Maintenance weight range: 137 - 142lbs (aiming to lower this a little over time so that 140 is my max)
Average weight recorded for January: 141.9lbs
Average weight recorded for February: 141.2lbs
 Week of...
 24th February (for ref): 140.4lbs
 3rd March: 140.4lbs
 10th March: 142.6lbs
 17th March: 140.4lbs
 24th March: 141lbs
 31st March:
Success/struggles of the week: All OK this week. I'm on track for around 141.4lbs average for March - which is fine - but I will need to start concentrating on my eating a bit more if I want to actually go about lowering my maintenance range so that 140lbs is my max. Just a bit comfortable eating what I'm eating at the moment though!
Hope you all had a good week

 Total Weight lost: 95.4 lbs
Time it took to lose: 10 months
How long in maintenance: 1st full month
 Maintenance weight range: 170-175
Average weight recorded from February: 180
 Week of...
 6th March: 175
 17th March:173.2
 24th March:172.0
 27th March:
Success/struggles of the week: I am operating in my 5 lb range (170-175), but still slightly losing weight. It's so much easier to diet than it is to maintain. I have increased the calorie intake daily by 100 calories and am now eating more than my calculated BMR. I feel like once you get to maintenance range there is little room for error. I am looking for some normalcy diet wise, but its impossible to balance. I am too afraid to fall back into a bad routine.5

I've been lurking throughout March, and have appreciated reading everyone's posts. I hope there is a thread in April, as I'll join then. Thought I was going to drop some more in March, so I didn't want to join this thread as a 'maintainer' yet, but it looks like I'm solidly in maintenance as I was doing some assessments of where I am today and if I need to increase my calorie goal one last time (looks like I don't, though the TDEE calculators say I could).
Totally agree that maintenance seems harder than just losing. Appreciate that you folks have developed a place for us maintainers to be accountable.5
-
            Total Weight lost: 85lbs
Time it took to lose: 9 months
 How long in maintenance: 2.5yrs
 Maintenance weight range: 165-170lbs (6' M)
 Week of...
 End January: 168.0lbs
 End February: 170.8lbs
 24th March: 171.6
Success/struggles of the week: Well stress, illness and injury over the last 2 months is showing on the scales.
I've actually dropped weight though the last week as I'm trying out 16:8 for the first time. Definitely helps hit calorie goals so figure I'll stick to it and see how I feel and what it does to my energy.
Still having very good run pace times though so a few lbs hasn't really slowed me down. But I want the 6 pack back for summer lol so need to focus and trim to at least 167.3

Congratulations on the weight loss - and welcome to maintenance!adipace815 wrote: »I am too afraid to fall back into a bad routine.
I think it's probably very usual to fear falling back into bad habits and undoing all our hard work. I know from experience that this is easier said than done - but we need to have confidence in our ability to know what to do if that starts to happen. I was very anxious when I reached my goal weight and first went into maintenance - you're right in that it is harder than dieting in some ways...... but in other ways it's lots easier - and definitely more fun!

Success/struggles of the week: All's well in maintenance land for me this month. I've successfully navigated through 2 years of maintenance, yay! Maintaining activity (20,000-22,000 steps per day) but still out of the gym probably for another month or so; mother doing well in hospice so have to count my blessings.
Looking forward to April, a month with fewer bumps in the road. See you all next week! Wishing everyone much success and few struggles for April. Cheers.7

 Total Weight lost: 40-45ish
Time it took to lose: 15 months
How long in maintenance: 16 months, but I had some regain about 6 months ago, and am just now getting back to where I was then. I'd like to lose another 5-10 pounds over the next year, to get my BMI out of the overweight range. So not 100% maintaining yet, but there's not a huge difference between maintaining and very slow loss.
 Maintenance weight range: 140-155

Average weight recorded from February: 153.5

Success/struggles of the week: Trying to figure out whether I can eat gluten free items or whether I need to avoid all grains. Had some gluten free buns and pretzels Saturday & Sunday, and the scale went +2 each day, so +4 over the weekend. So not cool. Worked hard this weekend installing a fence for my sister, so part could be water for muscle repair as I'm SORE! Going to avoid all grains this week and see where I am truly.1
