Why does the calories I've burned through steps decrease during the day usually after I've done another type of exercise??

Does it change because it double counted your steps and exercise? Do they change back after it recalculates?0

I don't carry my phone when I'm doing the exercise DVD that i do or when I'm doing yoga so those steps aren't recorded and no it doesn't recalculate them0

Mine did that too. I couldn't figure out why, and it was kind of aggravating. I ended up buying a Fitbit.0

I've thought about a fitbit are they good and do they sink up to this app if you're using it on a phone x0

Yeah, they sink up I haven't figured out the whole shebang yet, but there is a UnderArmor program that pops up and gives me all the info.
It also takes step or exercise calories and applies them toward your daily goals.0 -

I love my Fitbit, but there are a few issues that I wish I had known about before I bought it. The app also has a good food library, but it's not as comprehensive (or user friendly) as MFP. So I log all my food in MFP and let it sync with my Fitbit app. If you log your exercise or water into MFP, it'll log into your Fitbit app twice. So I only log those things in my Fitbit app. It took a little getting used to, but I love the thing overall, especially the sleep function. I have a Charge HR. I have a friend that has the less expensive Flex, and it doesn't register as much.0

If you are logging exercise at MFP, then that increases the # of calories that MFP expects you to burn in a day. Which increases the # of total calories you need to burn for a Fitbit adjustment.
Such as if MFP expects you to burn 2000 and Fitbit says you burned 2300 yesterday, then you ended the day +300.
If MFP expects you to burn 2000 and you log 350 for a workout, now MFP expects you to burn 2350. So if Fitbit ends at 2300 you'll see -50.
Log exercise at Fitbit if it bothers you.0 -
Oh, right, I forgot. MFP syncs your food diary to Fitbit, but I use fitbit's chart for calories in/out to figure out how much I can eat in a day.0
