Does anyone have a high calorie day?

I am coming from Weight Watchers and I loved the aspect of having a high day were I used my weeklies on Saturday and staying "good" and in my points during the week. If I do that with calories would it seem okay. I'm not super good at math. I wish to lose weight every week even if it's not a whole pound. I'm in no rush. I set my goal for losing 1.5 pounds during the week and one day a week (Saturday) I set my calorie goal at maintaince. Anyone else do this and have it work in their favor? Any advice would be great. Also I realize this ISNT weight watchers but I'm trying to find something that works for me right now.

I'm walking an hour a day 5 days a week. I only have my tracker set to maintaince for one day a week.

So far that is kind of what I have been doing. It has been working but I haven't been doing for a long period of time. I usually do maintenance on Friday and Saturday and stay under my calorie goal throughout the week. I exercise and do not use exercise calories though.0

lol thanks for answering sorry I just woke up and realized this!! So I say that sounds fine as long as you're in a deficit.i think some people do this they calorie cycling.0 -
I take my calorie allotment 1200 x 7 =8700 then I take that and break it up I have several low days around 1000 then I have a couple at 1200 and one at 1300 and one at 1500 (I'm rounding) this works with my social schedule and keeps me at a daily average of 1200.
ETA - 44 lbs down so far.0 -
Assuming your calorie counting is accurate, and the data you gave MFP for setting your calorie goal is accurate, and you're not a major outlier in terms of your real NEAT versus what the algorithm predicts, you should still lose a little over a pound a week if you eat at a 1.5 lb/week deficit for six days and at maintenance for one day.
Showing the math:
750 x 6 divided by 7 = 643 avg calorie deficit.1 -
I think it's a fine idea0
