Hence my login name alittlescared!! I am a 40 year old mother of 4 and have always been in pretty good shape until a few years ago to be honest other than being pregnant I have never weighed this much. This spring I was working our 4 to 5 days a week cardio and body toning up until 6 weeks ago when i had surgery. I got my clearance from the dr and am ready to get back into it. My oldest daughter and I saw an infomercial about Insanity and decided to try it. We got the program the other day and watched the first few days and to be honest am a little scared!! I want to do it, but don't know if I will be able to keep up - Anyone else feel like that before they started?????

You can do this! I absolutely love this site it is very helpful and there is alot of support! I'm always nervous stressing out wondering if I can achieve my goals.. and it is possible!
  • YES! Heck I'm still scared each time a do a new DVD. I'm just going with it though...and while I can't physically do everything that Shaun T asks of me, I try my very hardest and work myself silly. I think you can do more than you think you can! I know that's the case for me!

I'm really hoping it pays off in the end...I've seen so many amazing transformations from it that I'm using that as my motivation to keep going. The scale hasn't budged so I'm just hoping that all of a sudden I'll look at myself and I'll be down 10 inches or something around my waist. We'll see...I did go down an inch this week (I'm on week 1) just no weight change.

You can do it!! Really, watching Insanity and doing Insanity are 2 different things! Watching is intimidating, but doing - is, well, do-able! Esp since you said you were already an avid exerciser. You just have to start it and go!! And try not to compare yourself to the people working out with Shaun T! We have a hard time with that - but even those fitness pro's stop! Just take one day at a time and you can do it! We look forward every day to our Insanity time! We are starting Month 2. Good luck! And this site is a GREAT resource with some great people!! :)

You will be able to do it. Just keep pushing play everyday. Do not try to keep up with the people on the DVD when you first begin. Eventually you will be able to . You will be sore but it is a good sore. I have completed the program and continue to use it in my workouts. Feel free to add me as a friend if you would like as you begin this intense workout program.

Ditto! I can't finish every time and I have to take breaks but if you notice so do the people who have successfully finished this program. He urges you to go at your own pace...even if you only do half of each exercise the first time you will definitely get a workout. I just started last week and yes, it is hard but it is very fulfilling and it is a quick workout so you look at the time and "omg I only have 20 minutes or I only have 50 seconds left until I get a break!" I would try it out and GO AT YOUR OWN PACE! Hope this helps!
  • Thank you all for the positive responses I feel so much better I'll let you know how it goes after our first day!
