Hello! First poste for me so hopefully I'm doing this right.

I started working out and watching my calories this past monday. My second child is now 9 weeks old and I felt it was time to get back (well get into) the swings of things again. I really feel way better now that I am more active and its barely been five days! My only problem is that I am exclusively breastfeeding which makes me burn about an extra 500 calories a day. So MFP says that I need to comsume 1370 calories a day so in the total I need to eat 1870 calories! Which I though oh wow thats gonna be easy! Well it gets even harder when I burn an extra 400 calories at the gym! Thats 2270 calories a day! i absolutely do not want to stop working out because it makes me feel so good, I dont want to stop breastfeeding. But in order to be healthy and be able maintain my milk supple I HAVE to eat, I simply cant afford to be under my calories.

So now that I have rambled about my problem, heres what I need help with:

How do I eat close to 2270 calories a day and not live off of junk food? But also not be eating constantly all day?

I need high calorie health foods. Any ideas??

Help please!

I'd say don't be afraid of fat. You're not going to get 2300 cals eating steamed broccoli and grilled chicken. Nuts, seeds, dairy, avocados, eggs are all better than any processed food. Add a few extra teaspoons of olive oil to whatever you're cooking or salads too.

I have no problem eating that many calories, lol. I love to eat. I would stick to full-fat dairy products and just eat larger portions.

Good for you for nursing and dieting!! I did WW's when nursing my middle son and lost 35 pounds in three months. Nursing reaallly helped. Until he started eating some baby foods as well. Then I started having to come down in cals. I agree w/ eating the fuller fat dairy foods (if you like them...I personally prefer skim over whole milk). I remember when I nursed, I stayed hungrier because my body was doing more ~ add a extra small meal or snack or what not in there. Almonds. You know?
