I'm so hungry

Since January I've lost 21 lb. The last time I was weighed I was 169, this was on 3/25. (I'm a female and 5'8) My goal weight is 160.
I set my goal to lose a pound a week. I've drank a ton of water today and I've used my calories. (It's 7pm Pacific time) I'm shaking-that's how hungry I am.
Is this normal? I just want to eat.

A pound a week is aggressive if in normal weight range. Are you eating your exercise calories? I know if shaking that is your body telling you to eat so i would.3

If this is your time of month, it's normal. It's also normal to eat when you're that hungry. Keep control of yourself if you choose to eat. I hope a woman who knows better answers soon.1

If you are hungry and not bored or snacky, eat. If your go over you calories for the day and stay under your deficit for the week you will still lose weight.0

If you feel like it's true hunger than eat. Maybe you could eat some veggies or fruit to get some bulk for a small amount of calories? An apple will usually fill me up pretty well:)0

I'm eating my exercise calories and my period is due in a week. I didn't realize a pound a week was so aggressive. I'll change it to a half a pound.0

You could eat up to 500 calories more and let today just be a maintenance day. Have something small like a yogurt, hard boiled egg, handful of nuts, or something like that and see how you feel.2

I say eat at maintenance for today. What's your normal calorie level?
I had a day like that recently. Absolutely starving! I ate 500 calories over my goal, could have easily tucked away another 1000. Next day, wouldn't you know, my monthly visitor arrived. And that explained that!2 -
I agree, drop it to .5/lb a week. If you are truly hungry, then go eat something it won't be the end of the world if you're a little over for one day. Your weight doesn't care about one day, it cares about the long haul.
How much are you actually eating in calories vs the calculations done (not the ones you may, or may not, have picked)? ie you have calculated 1250, but you eat 1100.
And yes Jerome is correct despite not having those pieces. That ToM can make you extra hungry, if you're like me with that then just eat at maintenance for a day or two.2 -

I figure it's true hunger because I've drank water and I'm shaking. I'll try a small snack and see.0 -

Have you thought about reducing it to 0.5 pounds ? You don't have much to lose.1

We're trying to get healthy, right? Not sick. If you are shaking hungry, eat something nourishing. (warm broth? steamed broccoli?) This isn't about one night. It's about the long term. Maybe you are ending up with an excess of something or a deficit of something else? Maybe in the future you can substitute higher calorie foods with lower calorie foods to increase the quantity? Are you stressed? Anxious? Getting sick? Struggling with blood sugar? Breathe. Take care of yourself. It's going to be ok. Tomorrow is a fresh start. You aren't alone. (If you keep feeling sick, maybe it wouldn't hurt to check in with your doctor?) Sending peace and support...1
