Hi I am 38,need to lose 40lbs till I am happy with myself.I need ideas or challenges anyone.I weigh 290.00 .i want more off,I can't do strenuous activity

    hi i'm new to MFP as well (as I need to lose some weight). but have been exercise for 4 years on and off. Until very recently I wasn't able to run for more than 1 minute without stopping but now I can do up to 30 mins on treadmill. I think walking on an incline is a good place to start when trying to get fit (if you're using a treadmill). Anything that makes you out of breath is good as that means you are going to make progress in terms of fitness if you keep doing it regularly. As with dieting, I'm not the one to consult as thats the reason why I'm here
